Professor Frank Onyezili Commits Suicide Due To Loneliness

Frank Onyezili, a Professor of Biochemistry at the Biological Sciences Department in the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi (FUAM), has committed suicide.
Onyezili took his own life, last week Friday, by drinking poison and leaving behind a suicide note.
It was gathered that his decision to commit suicide might not be unconnected with depression and loneliness after wife and children left him and moved out of the country

A Russian military Il-20 aircraft with 14 service members on board went off the radars during an attack by four Israeli jets on Syria’s Latakia province, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Air traffic controllers at the Khmeimim Air Base “lost contact” with the aircraft on Monday evening, during the attack of Israeli F-16 fighters on Latakia, said the MOD. The plane was 35 kilometers off the coast of Syria when it vanished. Fourteen people were on board the plane at the time of the disappearance. A search and rescue mission is underway. The Ilyushin 20 (IL-20) surveillance turboprop plane is an Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) platform, equipped with a wide range of antennas, infrared and optical sensors. The aircraft's SLAR (Side-Looking Airborne Radar) and the plane's satellite link allows the Russian military to monitor Syrian skies in real time. AFGHAN:UK LEAVE SOME NATIONALS BEHIND.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has admitted it will be a "challenge" for British nationals left in Afghanistan to now find a route to the UK. Speaking to Sky News, Mr Raab said the number of British nationals who had not been taken as part of the now-ended UK evacuation effort was in the "low hundreds".Acknowledging it was "unclear" when the airport in  Afghanistan 's capital Kabul would again be operating - following  this weekend's pullout of US and UK troops  - Mr Raab advised those still seeking to leave the country they could find a route to the UK via neighbouring countries.The foreign secretary said, since April, more than 17,000 British nationals, Afghans who worked with the UK, and other vulnerable people had been evacuated from the country.

41 Killed After Russian Plane Catches Fire.

Forty-one people were killed when a Russian passenger plane made a fiery crash-landing Sunday at a Moscow airport, said Elena Markovskaya, a member of the country’s Investigative Committee. Two children are among the dead, according to the committee. The Russian Superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk when a fire broke out on board. Aeroflot Flight SU1492 returned to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, making a hard landing, news agency Interfax reported. Thirty-seven people survived, Markovskaya told reporters at Sheremetyevo Airport. Five survivors are hospitalized, she said. The plane had 73 passengers and five crew members on board. Russian state news agency TASS reported. Videos on social media show the plane engulfed in flames on the tarmac and people evacuating through emergency slides.
