Adelusi said the true test of maturiry and decency is another Yoruba adage which says an elephant is too big an animal that somone out of malice or hatred will compare with a fly. He said, “Reproach and bad-belle apart, the high court complex built by Fayose...

The plaintiff contended in the suit marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/1228/2018, that by virtue of section 91(9) of the Electoral Act, no individual or other entity can donate more than N1m to any candidate. States APC May Lose In 2019 - Daily Trust.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) faces a litmus-test in next year’s general elections after enjoying what looked like an easy ride in 2015 as it appears set to lose grip of some states.  After the conduct of the presidential, governorship and legislative primaries, the ruling party is facing some challenges as the number of aggrieved aspirants and stakeholders surge ahead of the general elections coming up in less than four months. Across the states, aggrieved APC members and aspirants have been protesting alleged imposition of candidates, automatic tickets as well as lack of justice and internal democracy in the just concluded Primaries.  The development has led to the sudden movement of party members to other political parties to seek either re-election or work against the ruling party. As a result, there is the likelihood that some states currently being held by the APC may fall into the hands of opposition political parties in 2019, unless urgent and co...

Present Your Academic Credentials Or Apologize To Nigerians, PDP Advises Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to either present his academic credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or apologize to Nigerians. Mr Buhari who seeks a second term in office failed to submit his educational qualifications to INEC while filling his presidential form. He, instead, attached an affidavit claiming the Nigerian Army of which he served and retired as a major general, were in the possession of his academic credentials. The claim did not go down well with some Nigerians who mostly said the president was being economical with the truth. The critics are claiming that the president ought not to give such excuse again since the military was now under his control. A similar scenario, NGPOLITICS recalls, had played out during the 2015 presidential election but many viewed it as an attempt to frustrate Mr Buhari who was a major contender in the election. When a legal suit was slammed on Buhari, who was then a ...
